I was ‘invited’ to join the parish team and have never looked back. I love helping out – whether it’s sound systems, parish events, or simply being part of the team.

I’m Bernie, I’m married and have two grown up children.

We moved to the parish in December 2016, having previously been an active member of the parish of St. Anne’s RC Church, Crumpsall since 1993.

I am an industrial sound engineer, which I’ve been doing since 1990, which in addition to working in commercial premises of different types, has given me the opportunity to work in over a thousand churches of different denominations (and of course tweek our churches systems), which gives me a chance to see how other parishes do things.

In my spare time I like to run, help organise Heaton parkrun and go on family walks with our dog Bella.
