This Lent, the St Vincent de Paul Society is once again inviting parishioners to take part in the “One Item for Lent” appeal. We are asking everyone, if they are able, to donate one good‑quality, pre‑loved item to support the work of the SVP.
All donated items will be taken to the St Vincent de Paul charity shop on Market Street, Bury (beside the Interchange), where they will help raise much‑needed funds for local projects.
What is most needed
The shop is especially in need of women’s tops: jumpers, blouses, T‑shirts, cardigans, and jackets.
Other items welcome
- Men’s, women’s, and children’s clothing
- Ornaments and household items
- Children’s toys
- Unwanted or unopened gifts such as toiletries, candles, and jewellery
Where to donate
A collection box will be available in both churches throughout Lent.
Your generosity will make a real difference to those in need. You can also support the SVP by visiting the shop—whether to donate, browse, or buy—whenever you are passing.
Thank you for your kindness.
