Last November, our Parish Monthly Appeal supported the beautiful work of Mary’s Meals. Alongside our usual charity collection, Mary’s Meals asked for any leftover foreign currency or obsolete UK coins and notes.
Our parish responded with remarkable generosity, and it is a joy to share the wonderful impact your contributions have made.
Thanks to your kindness, our collection of old and foreign currency raised an incredible £484.42. This will feed 25 children for an entire year – around 4,844 meals given to little ones who depend on them.
It takes just 10p for Mary’s Meals to provide a hungry child with a good, nutritious meal at school. Mary’s Meals now serves over 3 million children each day across 16 of the world’s poorest countries, giving them both food and the chance to learn.
Anna Houghton from Mary’s Meals sends a huge thank you to everyone for collecting such an amazing amount, along with her prayers and best wishes for our whole parish family.
Thank you for your generosity and for turning a simple gesture into something truly life‑giving.
